Coming out of high school, I worked as a Bather and Finisher in shops in Tennessee and the San Francisco Bay Area but later veered away from this profession as the course of my life changed and I had to care for my family. After working for many years in the corporate world, my lifelong love for dogs eventually led me back to what had always been my dream and passion: pet grooming. After my kids grew up, I went back to dog grooming school, where I graduated in 2005 and became a professional Pet Groomer. I spent over nine years running a very successful grooming business out of a veterinary hospital, until 2017 when I moved to Oregon and decided to launch Coastal Zoom Groom. 

I am certified in Pet First Aid & CPR through the PetTech PetSaver program and am also an American Kennel Club Safety Certified Groomer. I attend national grooming education seminars and grooming expositions as often as possible to continue furthering my knowledge and to keep up with the latest trends, tools, equipment, and best practices of the industry.
